Recommended Load helps you train effectively by calculating the amount of weight (Strength Exercises) or resistance (Cardio Exercises) for you and setting the load accordingly. Based on analytics from your activity history, it will determine the optimal load to set for you.
This determines what the starting weight/resistance is set to, and accounts for why the starting amount differs on a per-exercise and per-set basis. You still have full capability to adjust the load up or down before each set.
The starting weight will be set at Recommended Load in the following scenarios:
Protocol Workouts – OxeAI generated workouts you receive when you enroll in Protocol
Training Activities – Exercises, Workouts, Classes
Keynotes
Not all Training Activities are programmed with Recommended Load, so encountering an exercise's base (lowest) load at start is a normal variation that can be expected.
The initial Target Rep Count of the set will be a factor, but the Recommended Load will not change by adjusting the rep count.
When building Custom Workouts in OxeLead or the Mobile App, Recommended Load is an option to enable.
"Recommended Weight" refers to Strength Training Exercises.
"Recommended Resistance" refers to Cardio Training Exercises.
Optimal Load sets the weight/resistance at top-of-range amount for what your activity history has indicated. It is typical for the amount to be slightly heavier compared to your previous training sessions, and this is to encourage improvement. Numerous data points factor in, so please understand that this amount may not always be what you expect or exactly what you want.
As the user, it is your responsibility to be mindful of your limitations and adjust the weight up or down before each set. Doing so will help Recommended Load learn more about your training habits and how to improve for you.
Freestyle on XS1 does not use Recommended Load.
