The XS1 and the OxeDot work best when your device is connected to a 5GHz WiFi network.
If your OxeDot is not connecting to your XS1, please reference How Do I Connect New, Multiple, and/or Disconnected OxeDots?and verify that the battery is operational by pressing the OxeDot and seeing a light illuminate from the accessory. If there is no light, please reference How Do I Change The OxeDot Battery?.
If your XS1 is having network connection issues or your OxeDot is unable to connect to your XS1, please complete the steps below:
- If your WiFi router has a 5GHz network (SSID) that is separate from the 2.4GHz network, connect your XS1 to the 5GHz network. NOTE: The 5GHz network may be identified by having ā5Gā as a suffix in the network name. If the network name does not have a ā5Gā suffix or a different name from the 2.4GHz network, it is recommended that you set up a 5GHz network for better networking performance. Refer to the user manual for your specific router for more information.
- If you are unable to connect to a 5GHz network and are still having network or OxeDot problems, test your system with the OxeDot by accessing Settings using the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the screen, then select About Your XS1, and view the software version. If you have 1.2.0.6 or a later version, go back to Settings, select Bluetooth, then select FORGET ALL OXEDOTS. If you have an older software version, remove the batteries from all OxeDots.
