EXERCISE MODALITIES
More than 250 strength training exercises can be performed on the XP1 using the cables. All exercises in the library are preconfigured to adhere with a particular cable configuration and need to be set up accordingly in order for the training movements and various other device functions to operate properly.
There are six different cable configurations used, called MODALITIES. Each modality has its own icon to indicate which setup is to be used in correspondence with the selected exercise.

UNILATERAL SIDE SELECTION
In the case of unilateral exercises, two data displays will be exhibited on the screen. When the LOAD button is pressed, three options will be presented to allow the selection of the side of the user's body that is being worked on: "Left," "Right,” or "Alternating."
If "Left" is chosen, the user is expected to perform the exercise using the 'left' side of their body, and similarly for the "Right" option. If "Alternating" is elected, the user should perform the reps in an alternating fashion, beginning with the left side.
Once the exercise has commenced, altering the selected side option is not possible. To effect a change, the user must initiate an UNLOAD action. Subsequently, pressing the LOAD button anew will reintroduce the three options.
The vertical lights will help indicate which side of the body should be in use. If the rep is to be performed with the left side, the left-side lights will illuminate. Similarly, if the rep should be done with the right side, the right-side lights will be illuminated.
